Kano Governor Praises DSS for Arresting Kidnappers' Syndicate

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has commended the Directorate of State Services (DSS) for apprehending five suspects linked to the kidnapping and murder of a one-year-old girl, Sakina Mamuda, in Gwarzo Local Government Area. The suspects allegedly abducted the baby, demanded a ransom, and brutally killed her, dumping her body in an abandoned well.

The arrested suspects are Zailani Rabiu, Hafizu Yusuf, Abubakar Abdulkareem, Umar Lawan, and Amadu Salisu, all from the same community as the victim. Governor Yusuf expressed deep sorrow over the incident and praised the DSS operatives for their swift response.

The Governor reaffirmed his administration's commitment to strengthening the state's security apparatus and ensuring justice is served in the case. He assured the public of continued support for security agencies and called on citizens to remain vigilant and share timely information to fight crime.

The incident has drawn widespread condemnation, with calls for the suspects to be prosecuted without delay. The suspects are currently under investigation for criminal conspiracy, kidnapping, and homicide.
